For those of you that like marinara sauce/spaghetti sauce, whatever you like to call it, what is your favorite? Do you make homemade, or do you have a brand or type that you prefer? My personal favorite is Prego's Three Cheese Italian Sauce. It's better than some homemade sauces I've tried!
So tell me...what's your favorite? :)
Hello and welcome to the Taste Of Italy group! Here is a recipe I wanted to share; I found it in a Philadelphia Cream Cheese cookbook. Fettucine alfredo is my favorite meal, and I love this recipe!
1 (8 ounce) package Cream Cheese, cubed
1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
8 ounces fettuccine, cooked, drained
Stir cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter and milk in large saucepan on low heat until smooth.
Add fettuccine; toss lightly. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
*note: Feel free to tweak - this one is pretty hard to mess up! I almost always add more cream cheese, and I also love to shake in some Italian spices like garlic, oregano, rosemary, etc. McCormick brand has a great Italian seasoning grinder that adds a lot of extra flavor. Also, sometimes I'll get the shredded 3 and 4-cheese Italian blends rather than just Parmesan alone. :) Enjoy!
